Cheer up, It's not all that bad.
It's been a busy start to the year not only because of the obvious, an air conditioning company in the middle of summer but with the inclusion of a number of new services including the new or refocus on our electrical and residential air conditioning departments it's been exciting but extremely busy.
I know it seems a bit doom and gloom at the moment, you have Europe which it appears as if an almost deal has been done with Greece but with still Portugal and possibly Italy next there is no real finish line in sight. The United Sates is showing some half promising signs with better than expected unemployment but with so much bad debt seemingly being swept under any rug they can find it appears that things most likely are going to have to get worse before they get better.
And as for Australia, we really are the lucky country and by far in the best position to ride this thing out. Don't get me wrong, I know we have our own issues with Manufacturing in the toilet and not far behind Retail. And on the opposite side you have everyone who digs holes or is involved in digging holes absolutely on fire giving us as Wayne Swan calls it, our very own two speed economy.
But look at the facts, we have unbelievably low government debt compared to the rest of the developed world, which means the government even though we don't like it can a run into deficit if really required. We have high interest rates which though it sounds like a negative is really a positive as it gives the RBA massive scope to stimulate the economy if required.
You combine this with favorable demographics and our willingness to work together and give each other a chop out every now then. I would say there is no place in the world I would rather be.
So Cheer up, it's not all that bad.
